Lightnin’ Rod - Hustlers Convention (Celluloid 1984)
€30.00
Sealed copy of Last Poets member Jalal Nuriddin’s sole 1973 album as Lightnin’ Rod, first released on cassette by Celluloid in 1984 – a spoken word and proto-rap landmark backed by an all-star cast featuring Kool & The Gang and Billy Preston, and widely regarded as one of the most influential precursors to the hiphop movement that would develop in the second half of the seventies.
