Located in one of the coziest streets of Haarlem’s old city centre, Near Mint Haarlem offers a wide array of carefully selected vintage records, books, mags, tapes, art,  ceramics, interior finds and other meticulously curated collectables. The store was founded by Rush Hour supreme digger and pioneering music journo Rogier Oostlander and renowned beauty-, fashion- and lifestyle editor and stylist Enith Oostlander in the summer of 2024.

ROGIER OOSTLANDER

Rogier Oostlander is the former editor-in-chief of BG Magazine, one of the first European magazines dedicated to electronic and beat-based music culture in the early nineties, interviewing anyone from Aphex Twin and Massive Attack to J Dilla and MF Doom. Oostlander has soundtracked a string of international runway shows for brands like Diesel, 55DSL and Tommy Hilfiger, releasing the two-part rare groove mix album ‘Summer Sweetness’ through Sony Music in 2002. He helped set up several record stores including 33/45 and Velvet’s vinyl department before joining the world reknown Rush Hour operation as an international buyer and senior expert.
In 2024 Oostlander helped shape Wax Poetics Collections, connecting the legendary magazine with musical icons like Bootsy Collins, Arthur Baker and Masters at Work in order to auction personal items from their private collections.
