Musik Der Hamar Südäthiopien (Museum Collection Berlin (West) 1987)

€30.00
Fantastic double album collection of field recordings of the Hamar people of Southern Ethiopia, captured between 1970 and 1976 by anthropologist Ivo Strecker, varying from ceremonial songs, flute music and lyre performances to everyday soundscapes, combined into an intimate portrait of one of East Africa’s richest musical traditions. Both albums near mint, glossy gatefold sleeve and original 26 page booklet (In German and English) very good plus.
