Beautiful orange label UK pressing of Henry Cow’s insanely good ‘Western Culture’, the fifth, final and most coherent album by the experimental prog jazz fusioneers. A singularly brilliant tour de force leaning heavily on Chris Cutler’s polyrhytmic drumming over a threatening and occasionally bleak avantgarde city soundscape with Zappa-esque undertones, this might well be our favorite Henry Cow album, even though we love them all. Record near mint, sleeve very good plus.
