Prince - Originals (NPG 2019)

Lovely near mint black vinyl gatefold copy of this completely immoral compilation by the Prince Estate (let's face it, releasing a bunch of demos that were meant for internal use only is about as far removed from the purple essence as it gets), but it’s still lovely to listen to The Purple One playing ‘Sex Shooter’, ‘Manic Monday’, ‘The Glamorous Life’ and ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ in the intimacy of his own studio. Call it a guilty pleasure.
