Michael Nyman - Decay Music (Obscure 1976)

€75.00

Michael Nyman approaches silence on his debut album, released as number six on Brian Eno’s Obscure label in 1976. Side A (‘1-100’) is a beautiful minimal piano experiment originally written for Peter Greenaway’s film of the same name that was rejected for being too long, while the B-side sees Nyman experimenting with a series of bells he collected while travelling through Turkey in 1970. Original red letter first UK pressing. Sleeve VG+, near mint record has some slight white ghost sheen that does not affect play.
