Deux - Golden Dreams (Minimal Wave 2012)

Perfect solid gold copy of legendary Lyon synthwave duo Deux’s ‘Golden Dreams’, that was recorded in 1985, but didn’t see the light until 2012. This four track EP is a brilliant slice of stoic post-Kraftwerkian electro synthpop with Cati Tête sounding like Miss Kittin’s cool auntie thirteen years before she broke out with her ‘Champagne’ EP. A repress of this sought-after gold nugget is highly unlikely, since Deux is currently in a dispute with Minimal Wave (The label behind this reissue-not-reissue) over the rights to their work.
